I have a 5/2, 3400 square foot home in a nice school district in Birmingham, Al. Unfortunately, tenants gave notice last month after their 1 year lease. I was concerned that we wont be able to find the next tenant quickly. Fortunately, I have a strong property manager there, and was able to secure the next tenant 2 days after the last vacated.

Good morning!
Being a landlord is not all about sunshine and roses...I was reminded of that yesterday. My property manager called me and told me about a big tree hitting my house. I wanted to get your help in finding a good tree removal service to get it off of the house. Any help and thoughts are appreciated!
Thanks!

Unfortunately, that duplex fell through. The city deemed it a historic building and it would have been costly to renovate. I did move on and invested in 3 Duplexes in Ohio with Holton Wise.

My goal is to obtain 10 rentals in Ohio and then branch out to a new market. I have yet to decide on what market that will be. I've never done turnkey but probably will once I invest elsewhere. Good luck in 2016!
Looks like our findings are the same. All of my properties in Northeast Ohio are duplexes, I am now looking for singles. Best of luck to you!

Thanks Carrie! My goal for 2016 is to close on a small apartment deal, 6+ units. This will give me a good idea how each property class perform and will help me determine my focus. I just don't see the numbers in multi units all that attractive right now relative to SFH. So I'm not in a rush. How about you?
