@Rob D. I truly apologize If I offended you. That was never my intention, I’m in California too and all this crap is just getting to me. Even though I have reserves I think it’s a pride thing for me now. I’m sorry dude.

@Rob D. please don’t be a sheep! Barbara Ferrer is a health expert not the Mayor. The governor is calling the shots and he is opening California in steps. Why open malls, beaches and dine in restaurants if we are going to be shut down? Why give loans to small businesses if we are just going to remain closed?? Common sense isn’t common anymore I guess...

P.S not trying to be rude. I’m just tired of false news going around specially here on landlord forums. We look like clowns.

😑😑 i don’t know why people would even post this. Who in their rightful mind would think it has a possibility to pass..😒

@Javier Perez yes! From my understanding you can take your tenants to court!! Anyone can take anyone to court. No LAW says you can’t.

@Nikki Closser not to burst your bubble but I think 6months is best case scenario. I would not be surprised if this was extended to over a year maybe more. It’s a pandemic that no one has a vaccine for. Not to mention how backed up court houses will be once your able to take a tenant to court. ( also think about all the tricks tenants will do to delay the process even more) we are all on different boats fighting the same storm

I’m sure that’s the least of their worries right now. All government officials believe landlords are wiping their behinds with 100 dollar bills. But on top of that it doesn’t seem like if any landlords are stepping up to the plate to say something about their investment. Government officials Then now believe WE landlords don’t care and we have the funds to keep this going for months. I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again.

1. eviction prevention (we are here)

2.Then it’s going to be free Rent/no rent is owed and we can’t evict tenants whom suffered from covid 19  (6months we will be here)

3. Landlords Will have to pay tenants for Hard times during Covid 19 (8months from now we will be here)

Obviously I’m being sarcastic. But I wouldn’t be surprised if this were to happen. And I’m sure it will. ON TOP OF THAT LANDLORDS WILL STILL DO NOTHING.

I’ve collected 7 out of my 7 units. All paid before the 3rd of this month. So far so good. I’m in California and it seems as if things could start getting better. A lot of retail opened back up. The same with warehouses. I think a slow opening is better than no opening

The problem here is WE as landlords aren’t sticking together like tenants do! Just like they have a voice we have a louder one. Y? We pay property tax! We all need to start suing Every city and every state around the world

On the bright side you guys out in New York have a date. I’m here in California and we have to wait 90days after the state of emergency is lifted. I’m sure that’s worse than waiting two months
