Hi Everyone,

My name is Richard Lachance and I am a huge advocate of Real-Estate investing. I have a pretty good understanding of the real estate investing strategies and I am trying to learn as much as I can as I go along. I bought a house a while ago and would like to expand my portfolio however I am always hesitant to make any major moves. It is my belief that the reason for my hesitance is the lack of first hand experience and behind the scenes type of knowledge.

I am here to offer my time and assistance for any active Investor in the Kitchener-Cambridge area to allow me to tag along and witness first hand how the magic is created. It will be completely voluntary of course and no compensation will ever be expected. I simply feel like my reading and studying has came to a peak and would like to get hands-on experience within the field. My strengths include organization, computers, communication and I also like to believe that I take well with other professional individuals. If you could use a little assistance within your operation or would just like to assist in providing first hand experience for an aspiring real estate investor, please feel free to contact me!

Hey Everyone,

So after 4 months of frugally saving money and searching for the right property I have made my first purchase! I have purchased a property in Kitchener, Ontario. The property is 1300 sq ft detached home built in 1946. The offer was just recently accepted at the beginning of this week and I am in search of a solid home inspector. If anyone knows of any great home inspectors in the area please share!

@Steven B. I have tried those sites as well, realtor.ca seems to cover the most properties but never hurts to check up on them all I suppose. Thanks!

@David Leesurier thats great advice, not sure if im the point to just start knocking on doors but i will keep that in mind incase i get desperate or change my strategy. I will inquire a local realtor though, thats a great idea! I will PM you and maybe we can help each other as well! Thanks

Hey All,

I was curious on where you all find your Great deals in real estate. I am sure there a loads of posts in regards to where to find great deals however I am from Ontario, Canada and have had a hard time finding threads specific to where I am. Plus i want to hear from you all personally! 

Currently i just use the basic Realtor.ca and search up the MLS Listings.

There has to be a better way!
