Thanks for the good information. I know Orlando was hit pretty hard during the foreclosure crisis, but it's good to see the rental vs. home values portrayed in a chart.

Eric,
That is some good insight. I look forward to taking advantage of the market here in Orlando. I've heard differing statistics regarding "Young People's" intent to marry, but either way I've seen some pretty good deals already in my preliminary research.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! In the next year or so I plan on doing some fix and flips with some creative financing and also I am open to partnerships down the line. I have strong financial skills and my friend and I have some experience with handy work. I'd love to help other investors with their fix and flips in exchange for some invaluable knowledge in RE.
Thanks all!

Hello all!
I am very excited to be utilizing this awesome platform for learning and developing my Real Estate investment portfolio! I have been glued to this site for a couple of months now and love reading the articles, comments, and listening to the podcasts as well.
My wife and I live in Winter Park, FL and I am currently working in Construction Accounting while she is a surgical tech at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital. My ultimate goal is to take a "soft" retirement by 35 years old (2025) by thriving off of passive income created by buy and hold real estate. I hold an MBA from UCF and I am currently in the process of setting myself up for success in the investment arena by clearing out my family's debt (student loans and car payment). Once I purchase my first Primary Residence in the next year and once all of my debt is paid off in the next two years, I plan to embark on a journey to accumulate 20+ properties by 2025 all cash flowing $500+ a month (at least $120,000 annually). This will be enough to quit my W-2 job and still have plenty of money to continue investing in more properties. I am also in the process of putting together my "team" of lenders, property managers, investors, partners, realtors, and anyone else I can think of to help make this dream a reality.
I really love flats fishing in the Indian River in Titusville, FL so if anyone else has the same fishing hobby, I'd love to meet up and talk RE investments!
I look forward to meeting all of my local RE friends!
