@Lesley Resnick

Yep, that is exactly the issue I had with Quicken Loans. They don't do portfolio loans and they said that the mortgage would be below, that threshold where the state wouldn't allow them to charge enough to make the loan doable.

@Harjeet Bhatti

That is what I would have thought.  I would have thought expanding would be a good thing, so long as the expansions were good investments in and of themselves.  Maybe it is the way my CPA claimed them on my taxes?

@Justin B.

It is definitely below the median, but close to average.  There are still the occasional cheap property around 20k, and there are a few houses on lake Huron that are over a million $.  I'd say about  70% of the neighborhoods in the city would have prices between 40k and 80k.  So, I'd say they are low to mid average.  I think Zillow gave me "zestimates" of 79k, 68k, and 52k, but I honestly think those are way too high.  A lender has appraisals ordered, so we'll see what happens.

@Matt M.

ok, I thought your card was a free parking pass for the Pepsi center.   I was thinking "wow, this guys a hustler to pull off a perk like that for people he gives his card to." lol. I understand now.

@Matt M.

That's awesome.  How did you work that out?

I carry them, and ask people what contact they prefer and make it easy on them.  I want to make it as painless as possible for customers, business contacts, etc to reach me.  I'm hoping that will mean they choose to contact me instead of someone else who doesn't use the communication medium they prefer because its more effort.  I hate Facebook messenger, but will use it if it means I get the deal.

@Jay Hinrichs

Thanks for the info.  I'll give Tim a call.  Even if he can't help me now, we may be able to work together on a future project.
