I have done primarily buy and hold investments, some were fixer uppers but it was all mostly cosmetics. Flipping is a little outside of my wheelhouse so I am not much help there. Midwest is a great place to invest! Feel free to reach out if you ever need anything and good luck!

@Joray Ess I started purchasing foreclosed properties in 2009 when there was a lot of inventory. I purchased properties that did not need major work (clean, paint, refinish floors, one house the tenant took all the trim throughout the house...never figured that one out). Now there are not as many deals and the banks not in as big of a rush to get the properties off their books so for me its hard to find value in the foreclosures. I have started taking on debt and buying in nicer neighborhoods with good school systems. Looking to move into a multi unit this summer.
