Find someone you trust from your meetup or REIA and bend their ear.

Hello Team BP , 

I work as a lender out of state. I'm curious to know,  what is the median rate/terms for Private Money in MA. I'm originally from Natick and spent summers on Nantucket. My family was in hospitality. I hope to return to MA in the future to grow my business and my family. 

What are investors seeing out there?

It'd be good for the community to have a better idea of what to be on the look out for.

This is a business of referrals, it all comes down to trust and word of mouth.

I would also consider checking the BBB page for each lender you are considering.

This is standard practice. We ask that a borrower comes with 25% of the rehab budget to show at closing. Essentially it allows someone who might have 20k for rehab to take on a larger project than they would have been able to out of pocket.  

Whether you're charged interest on the undrawn funds can vary though.
