I finally decided to start my journey and will be looking into NJ properties. The goal is to Buy, Rehab, Refi and Hold.

I tried to search the forum but I couldn't find a search feature. I want to get your input on which areas in NJ I should check out?

I figured why do long distance or go out of state if I haven't exhausted the search locally. I value the members thoughts and experiences on this forum, so I am writing this post to get suggestions or recommendations on which markets I should start looking at in New Jersey.

Thanks in advance.

My partner and I have been looking to buy multi unit properties in NJ and then covid hit.

The question is what are you investors doing during these times?

Are you still actively looking for deals to buy or sitting on the sidelines waiting for the storm to pass?

I have been reading all that's going on and I am actually hesitant to jump in due to all the issues that may be arising with unemployment and people not paying their rent.

What do you think?

Meanwhile some counties in NJ are blowing up because many people are moving from nearby cities. Homes are getting above ask.

By the way how about a recommendation for an awesome agent in NJ who well versed in property investment while you're at it?

Thank you

Hey @James LaPosta,

Thanks for the input, what other areas/towns do you think are worth a look?

Thanks everyone for the replies and input, I have narrowed it down to Middlesex and union city in NJ. I will be searching for properties in those counties. Any feedback about them would be greatly appreciated.

Hey @Marci Stein Where in NY are you from? I am from NY and let's just say REI isn't so easy here!! The numbers don't add up and so I have been looking to invest out of state or the surrounding states.
