@Jay Hinrichs Thanks for your info. We are newer investors so still have a lot to learn about all the benefits of the corporations. What insurance company do you use for your LLCs?

@Brandian Ross no problem. You can contact Gary Bauer at Your entity Solution. He is extremely helpful in answering any and all questions. We have set up two LLCs with him.

He may be checking his email here and there but I know the last contact I had with him they were closed for the holiday until Jan 3.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I will inbox you his contact info as it won't let me post it on here

Yes, it will also help will taxes. You don't want to claim your profit as an individual vs a corp

@Brandian Ross. I would recommend getting an LLC. It is good to protect yourself and depending on how you are going to finance it a lot of hard money lenders require an LLC. I disagree on the S-Corp. All investors and mentors I know have flips and rentals both in LLCs. One LLC for flips and another for rentals. If you need a company I can send you some information and they are very helpful.

@Kevin Siedlecki. Thanks. I was looking more for grant information or programs such as the HOME partnership program that is offered through the HUD. A lot of information and steps to get approved for grants and such. More so looking to see if anyone has went through the process. I thought applying for Section 8 housing as a landlord would also be another avenue to get approved into those programs easier.

Hello- My name is Scott. My partner Amanda and I just opened up our LLC in April. We have flipped our first two houses since July with both of them projected to close in January! Looking to continue to flip along with acquiring some rentals hopefully soon. We live in SoCal but have our team and investments back in the suburbs of Saginaw, MI, Amanda's hometown. Have been joining in the webinars the last few weeks and really like the education and support BiggerPockets has to offer. Hope to connect with as many of you as possible!

Any investors out there that may have some knowledge on government lending for investments? Such as section 8 housing?

Thank you and hope to talk to you soon

Scott
