I did a lot of research and the best price I could find was $130 for 100 1-sided 1-color signs, which the company custom designed for me for free. I paid $20 extra to have a yellow background instead of white, and $35 for shipping. The company I used was at
http://decals-oem.com/specials/18x24.htm. I chose not to buy stakes because I thought it would be better to hang signs with zip-ties or nails.

When you are touring the house with the seller, never turn your back to him. In fact, you can ask him if he wouldn't mind waiting outside in his car while you tour the house.
You can also carry pepper spray, if it's legal in your area.
Always let someone know where you are and call them at agreed upon intervals. If for some reason you don't call, they should call you and if they can't reach you, alert the authorities.
You can also say that your male assistant or male relative will meet you there and will be there any minute.
Don't wear high heels, in case you have to make an escape. Wear athletic shoes or work boots. The work boots will even help in case you have to walk through trash or through puddles of suspicious liquid on the floor. :)
You'll probably carry a flashlight to see in the dark areas. Make it one of those tactical self defense flashlights.
You'll probably carry insect repellent spray in case the house has fleas or other nasties. Use that to spray in the face of someone who is getting violent.
If you have to fight, remember to strike vulnerable areas (throat, eyes, groin). I bet if someone did try to get violent with you and got an ink pen shoved into their eyeball, they would change tune pretty quickly.
Carry an emergency whistles that hit 120 decibels.
No legal advice given.

I am not affiliated with Ms. Calloway in any way, but I attended the free RealDeal Meetup where Brittney Calloway spoke a little over a month ago. She is not a guru. She actually has been investing for only about a year, but she took REI automation info that she received at another RealDeal meetup meeting and scaled it up BIG TIME! She is now investing in 4 states with a team of virtual assistants. She's raised millions in private money and invested millions and her business is BOOMING. I got enough actionable content from the meetup that I will be attending her $47 event. She will be giving out her plan, her step-by-step manual for training virtual assistants, etc. From my understanding, there will be nothing else to buy, so yes it should be just $47. The RealDeal meetup does have a mastermind group that she is a new coach in, so (if you want to join that) there would be a fee, I'm sure. But for $47 you should walk out with everything you need to automate your business yourself.

One good place for door hangers is http://3000doorhangers.com/
All pricing includes custom design and unlimited changes. You can get 3000 full color for $298 or 3000 with 2 colors for $158.
I am not affiliated with or employed by the company. I just know they do good work.
