Thank you all, for the feedback.

@Juan V Lopez thanks!
@Bill B. - I think you're right. There is no rush for me to set it up now vs later. and the "plan" to move to NV might not happen, we all know how things could change quickly these days.
@David M. - noted, thanks for your feedback.

Hi all, I'm looking for advice regarding my specific situation. I've searched many posts but couldn't find any specific relevant to my unique situation, so please bare with me.

1.  I'm currently a CA resident W2 earner with multiple rental properties in NV.  NV rental properties are under my personal name with umbrella insurance.

2.  I'm planning to move to NV in 2 years (I would still be employed by the same company, but I can avoid income tax by moving to NV).

3. I would like to form an LLC and put all my NV rental properties in the LLC this year (for many reasons such as liability protection by forming the LLC, legal advantage such as charging order protection, and lastly the anonymity).
My question is:
 a) should I form the LLC in NV? Understand that I would still pay taxes in CA, but figured I wouldn't be after 2 yrs when I move to NV
 b) should I form the LLC in CA now and convert when I move to NV in 2 years?  I've "heard" this could be difficult and CA would somehow try to get you to still pay taxes after you move - would love to hear from someone who has actually done this and your experience and result.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm planning to investment in a SFH or Multi-Family homes in Salt Lake City, Utah (or surrounding areas). I don't know too much about the city except there is Park City that I enjoy very much every winter. I am looking for an agent that can provide me guidance on what areas to invest in. This will be a rental property and I plan on hiring a management company to manage it for me. Thank you!!

Hi, my name is Sean and I am fairly new to real estate investing. I started my journey about 5 years ago doing it part time. I love my job and what I do, but my love and passion for real estate is MUCH more than my normal 9-5. I would love to spend more time to work on rehab projects, grow my rental property portfolio, and help others who share the same passion and interest in real estate investing.

I have some experience in rehabbing and rental properties. My mom and I rehabbed one of the rental properties we owed a couple years ago and I am self-managing a couple rental properties as well. But I still feel like there is so much more to learn and grow. I started listening to BP Podcast beginning this year and I enjoyed listening to each guest that went on the show to share their stories, advice, and knowledge in the industry. I’ve decided to join the BP community, looking to connect with like-minded individuals to share advice and learn from each other. I’m located in Los Angeles and Orange County areas and I’m open to meet and chat over tea/coffee/lunch (I’ll buy! 😊 )

Thanks for having me and I look forward to making new friends!
