@John Warren Appreciate the shout out, John. Always happy to expand the network and see how we can help people!

@Arturas Zakutis Sending you a connection request and message now!

@Paul Brower Hey Paul congrats on the 4 slow BRRRSs! That does sound exhausting.

I wanted to respond to the meetups part of this - this is a good resource for a ton of meetups in the area: https://www.straightupchicagoinvestor.com/chicago-real-estat...

Also a great podcast to check out if you like BP.

@Tom Sehon - I have worked with Taylor Haas and Renee Marzolf at Colorado Realty & Property Management and they do a great job. I understand Michael's point above, but I know CRPM has been in business for a long time, anecdotally they have been excellent, and their online reviews across multiple platforms suggest I am not alone in this thinking.

I looked into them but had a very difficult time getting through their phone tree with the Denver number not working. Do you have direct contact information?

Just sent you a connect request with direct contact info!

Sounds like a fun project! Just sent you a direct message. I do think the strategy makes sense.

@Nathan Witte Congrats and welcome to a great industry and market! @Mark Ainley thanks for the shout out!

I'll connect with you here and send a DM, but a few things to keep in mind;

1. Understanding how to save money is key --> this doesn't mean penny pinch/pound foolish, it means; where are the biggest percentages of my income going and how can I reduce those

2. If you're looking for a homerun - i.e. a househack that covers your entire living expense, with cash flow, that's turnkey in the neighborhood you want, for a reasonable price and is easy to maintain, you could be looking for a while (inventory + analysis paralysis) --> manage your expectation of what a "good deal" looks like and form that phrase "good deal" around what is realistic for your situation.

Looking forward to chatting!

Hey @Sean P Colon! A few have touched on it, but if you are local to Chicago, there isn't a better place to start than Straight Up Chicago Investor. It has local, down to earth investors talking about the neighborhoods and suburbs you're probably already familiar with. I will shoot you a DM with a good one to start with. Also I'll link to the website because there is a lot of other good information on there about investing in Chicago. --> Straight Up Chicago Investor

@Nikki Cepeda @Mark Ainley - Hey Guys! Louis Gilbert with McCarthy property management may be a good option. Not sure if they have coverage in specifically the area you may be looking for, but he could definitely point you in the right direction. [email protected]

If you want to shoot me a PM I can send his cell as well. They do a good job and he's a good guy.

@Haneesh Lakkamsani What's up! I have a few lenders I would be happy to connect you with. I'll send you a message now!

What's up BP,

Does anyone know of any estate sale companies in/around the Naperville area? The perfect situation would be a combined moving/auction company. The idea is: There are quite a few homes where people would be open to turning them into rentals or moving out, if not for all of the stuff inside. They can't handle the idea of throwing everything away, but also are not interested in posting each individual item on craigslist or FB marketplace. They just want everything moved out and given a flat, marginal dollar amount for the items inside.

I know this idea sort of exists with storage garage auctions/sales, but curious if anyone is aware of something like this for SFHs?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Shea
