@Mindy Jensen, we are open to invest anywhere. The Bay Area seems a bit too expensive but being close to the asset so that we can learn more is a big plus.

@David

@David Thompson, we are not accredit yet. We will qualify at the end of this year though.

How can I find a local multi family meetup? Just on meetup.com?

Where can I find a couch? Should it be a local one? How much does that cost?

I've been listening to Old capital Real estate investing club and that is what is motivating me to start this.

Hello,

Name is Igor. My wife and I moved the bay area from Seattle, WA in July 2015 for some new jobs.  Our financial goal is to invest into apartments in order to produce passive income so that we don't have to tied to down to our jobs so much.

We are looking to meet with folks who are in the apartment business that can show us the ropes and allow us to invest passively in a couple of deals before we try it out ourselves.

Hello, I am very new to Apartment investing. I am trying to figure out the steps and in what order I need to do them in to buy my first deal. Iam looking into a 16 unit apartment near university of Washington. It's a used for student housing and has a cap rate of 11%. He is asking 1.8M for it. I currently have $300k to put into this deal and am looking for a partner so that we can secure a loan. I'll also look into a management company as well as a contractor. My question is at what point in the deal do you typically go and walk the property to get estimated repairs. It seems like I need to do that before anything? I need to have all these estimates to take to a potential partner and then to the bank. Any one have a recommended read on the detailed steps to putting a deal like this together? Much appreciated.
