I hate to do this, but I do need some specific answers as I have a weird and limited situation.

I currently work for my father, but I hate it. Those of you who have worked for family may be able to relate to that. I have worked with him for 4 years but don't make that much for the area we live in. The pro of this job though, I work out of my house. This is a major benefit as I am a paraplegic who does therapy 3 days a week and cannot be sitting for long periods of time.

So my question is, what can I do in the world of Real Estate to start to pave my own way? I don't have any degrees, no certifications, nothing. I currently do some sales, a lot of quickbooks, and a lot of logistics. I have experience with upper level management in a $20million dollar company, however, that company recently went out of business.

My wife and I are looking to buy our first home, but in Orange County, real estate is out of this world, and something that is on a bottom floor for less than $300k that is nice is impossible. I mention this because I read @Brandon Turner 's article on how to make a million in just 8 years. There is no way I can find a duplex here and of course it is not a good idea to buy outside of the area in which one lives.

I don't think I can really do Real Estate, as I can't really show homes, go upstairs or anything, wheelchair has a lot of drawbacks (but it also has it major advantages!). I could possibly look more into Wholesaling, but I don't know anything about it. I would just love to find a completely different path than I am on now, and create my own financially secure future for my family that we hope to start soon.

Any advise, any direction anyone can point me to would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
