@Russell Brazil I see. So the issue is that an agent is likely to be licensed in all three states and thus unwilling to work with someone in just one state. I see that the brokerage would want to capture the maximum amount in fees but hypothetically speaking, could Aj find an agent who is only licensed in VA to help him out? Or, what if the the brokers work out some kind of a referral agreement? Could AJ ask his realtor to simply refer him to an agent in VA and then seek a referral fee from the VA broker?
