Hello!! Just wanted to shout from the roof tops, I MADE MY FIRST DEAL! Closed on my first flip house on Friday and super stoked to figure out what this is all about! I made a lower offer in the beginning for $108k, house was on the market for $133k. They countered with $120k and we settled on $115k. Last week the appraisal came in lower than expected and I had to find more money (would need to be private), offer the sellers less or walk away. I didn’t want to walk away so I offered $107k to close it. The sellers took the weekend and signed off on it that Monday. So darn exciting to have a house project and to see what I can learn on the first one. Hoping to get this one and maybe another across the finish line (or just closed on) by the end of the year! Exciting stuff!! Thanks to BP’s constant knowledge bombs on the site and through the podcast and the community that has pushed things for me so far. I love this world and the potential for freedom!

@Brenton Braddock awesome!!! Congrats on the first deal! I love that you chose to give a shout on BP about this. Also glad you jumped in! The best way forward is one foot in front of the other, right!? Congrats again!

@Joe Fairless. What an awesome post!!! Inspiring to read your story and I can’t wait to tell my own experiences with people in the future like this!!! It sounds like you almost do The Miracle Morning throughout your day which is also awesome! I think something to add is knowing all experiences are great whether they are good or bad because they make you better and more prepared for the next round!

Hey BP Community! I am going to start my first flip soon and I would like to open a business account for all of my transactions for this house. Can anyone in the Twin Cities/Minnesota market give me referrals for good banks to work with? I know this isn’t vital, but if there is someone awesome to work with in this market I would love to give them my business! Let me know their info and why you like them. Exciting Josh! I live in the Twin Cities but went to college in Cloud. I think if you can get some rentals around the school might be a cool deal. I have heard good and bad from some friends in that area that a lot of houses are on the market up there. It’s be cool to know what it’s truly like. I’d love to have a few rentals there. It would give me an excuse to go up there more. Good luck and my best advice is to just Jump In! Start looking for a deal cause sometimes that takes a while :)

@david Barnett Thanks! I have their website and basic phone information. I have actually been told to go to them before and I have never been able to get a call back from them. I was hoping for a name and maybe a number of someone direct to get a call back.
