Curious if anyone has ever applied for a rooming house license?

I’m curious about the potential of buying a large house (ex 6 bed / 3 bath) and renting by the room. (Id lease by the room instead of by the home.)

Just wondering if anyone has ever gone through the motions of applying for such a license who could shed some light on the process. Thank you!

Thank you everyone! What type of person would provide the best initial information on how to go about condo’ing duplexes (or four-plexes/etc)? Would it be a realtor? An attorney? The city? I’m trying to figure out where my best FIRST step would be. Thank you again!!!
