@Rachel Mellies my wife and I bought a property in Pittsburgh and we live in So Cal. We have never been to it (and don’t plan to). We needed a new roof and cosmetic and electrical upgrades in 2/3 units. Our PM handled the scheduling of the work, and I spoke with the contractors about scope and budget. It wasn’t too hard, and I am happy with how it all turned out. The hardest part was schedule. They took longer than I wanted since I wasn’t there pushing them. Overall I’m glad it’s complete, and thankful for a good PM team.

@RiChai Johnson congrats on the duplex! I just purchased a triplex outside of Pittsburgh. Would love to see some properties when you get going on your wholesaling endeavor.

Hi All,
I own a small commercial cleaning business as a side hustle. Is it possible to buy a corporate retreat through the LLC and use this as a STR when the company is not using it for retreat purposes?
I know if should probably ask a real estate attorney but figured I’d ask here first to see if anyone has done this before. Maybe it’s a common practice.
I appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
Tim

Hi All,
I am looking at a property inIndependence that does not have a refrigerator or stove/range. Is it common to ask renters to prove one or either of these? I am an OOS investor, and that is not common in my area (San Diego).
Thanks,
Tim

@Krystle Khoo I don’t have any experience on the owner side, but from the tenant side, Chamberlain Property management was great. Again no experience as an owner.
