Hi Kristine,
I was searching for info on HomePath and found your old chain here. Wondering, did you end up buying a HomePath property? If so, did you use their financing or something else?
I agree that their prices ARE negotiable, so that agent gave you bad information. Or maybe it was accurate at that time, but today, when you look at their website, there is the ability to make an offer online and to counter also.
I'm trying to find out if their properties can be purchased with cash or conventional or private money, instead of using their financing. If so, I would think the owner-occupied requirement would disappear, right? Does anyone know?

Does anyone here use PropStream software? or know anything about it?
I'd love to get some feedback about it.
Thanks in advance,

Lee, it sounds to me like you just finished a real estate seminar. Was it maybe Jeff Adams' program. Did you have an instructor named Marco? I recently did the 3-day training with him in San Francisco, and he mentioned he had done one recently in Hawaii - that's how I made that leap.
They push the S and C corps and LLCs - and it is, or will be, important to be incorporated, but they do use fear to sell the Asset Protection kit. I've been to seminars put on by asset protection groups that want you to form and manage your corporations through them, and they use the same fear tactics to get you to purchase their pre-packaged kits.
I don't think having a corporation has anything to do with financing. I didn't take away that at all. It's just about liability and taxes.

Priscilla,
I happened upon your 2010 post here about iFlip. I believe you purchased it at that time. Can you tell me your experience with it? Is it a must-have? Do you feel like it makes your job much easier? Would you recommend it for a newbie? Is there something better or comparable you're aware of?
I'd really appreciate any advice/feedback from anyone familiar with iFlip or something equivalent.
Thanks in advance,
Teri N in California
