I have a buyer wanting to close on a foreclosure before 1/30/17. The 2016 taxes haven't been paid yet (due 1/31/2017). If the house is being sold "as-is" who pays for 2016 taxes?

Thanks Christopher. I do have a call into some trusted lawyers and title companies. I'm in the planning stages but do have active interest knocking at my door.

Hello, I have a number of Chinese nationals looking to buy & invest in the booming Collin County, Texas area. As i'm fairly new to this niche, can someone walk me through closing process? What are the tax implications? What if a party wants to share in the investment? Would it be best to hold the property in an LLC or have an attorney draft an ownership agreement based on the purchase price? Since they are unable to travel to the U.S. in time for closing, should a notarized document suffice for the title company?
Thank you,
Johnny

Hello All!
I've been listening to BP podcasts for a few weeks now and am SO pumped up to get started with Investing locally. I'm a licensed Realtor and have a dozen transactions i've done assisting others and met a couple people in the business. I'm seeking partnerships (contractors, financing, wholesalers) with seasoned and reputable folks in the area. My expertise is in SFH and I'd like to get into multi-family and grow my portfolio with a buy & hold strategy supported by flips. Contact me and let's get a deal going!
