@David C.   Hey David, check out my post above. There is an active group, you can find it on Meetup.com. I provided a link. I have not been to one of theirs yet but if you guys are planning to go, let me know and I will make an effort to get there and meet with you and Max. 

@Sherry Patterson  Max - Sherry Patterson puts on a meetup in HEB. Its a quick drive from Denton and would be worth your time. They have topics, networking and no sales pitches. Follow her on BP and you will get the updates for time and place. 

There is also this one that I have not been to yet because its usually on a Friday afternoon and I have a tough time getting off work early enough to get up to Denton.

@James Tucker James, welcome to Bigger Pockets! I will add to what Dave suggested and recommend the Bigger Pockets podcast. If you don't already listen there's tons of great content to get caught up on. I am right around the corner from you in Flower Mound. 

@Hunter H. - Hunter, That is awesome to hear, you are obviously taking some massive action! Was your fist deal a wholesale find or are you doing conventional searches? What's your strategy? Would love to know more about what you are doing.

Check out the homesnap market guide for some good data. Of course MLS data would be best but this would be a good start and comparison.

Cathy, Welcome to the site. If you haven't already I would suggest the Bigger Pockets podcast. There is a wide array of interviews illustrating multiple strategies. You can submerse yourself in a lot of information very quickly.
