Thank you @Steven Foster Wilson! How would I go about finding a mentor? I have been wanting one, but I don't know where to start to find one.
Try to attend your local REI networking groups and meetups. Connect with as many real estate mentors as you can.
You can also consult with lenders, brokers and ask them for suggestions on who might be a good real estate mentor most will be able to provide one.
Try to think of different ways you can add value to that person. What are your strengths? For example are you experienced in social media marketing? Could you offer a mentor some tips? This way its not just a one way street.
As of now I am very new to all of this, but I am very dedicated and highly motivated. I am very willing to learn everything possible and I am very open to new ideas. What I lack in knowledge I will make up for in being driven to accomplish goals that are set infront of me.

@Paul De Luca I am planning on using my VA loan for my first property. I am trying to work out the process of getting the approval amount right now.

@Scott E. What books would you recommend I start reading? I have read a couple of books and listened to a few audible books already, but I need more.

Hello everyone! I've been reading and listening to BiggerPockets for a long time, but I just now joined the website. I currently don't have any properties because I am still trying to figure out how to network and find investors. I recently separated from the Army and I am a new Real Estate Agent in Indiana, I would love to have a good portfolio of properties by 2030.
