I am looking for a community bank in Michigan that you have had a great experience working with.  I am looking for a bank that services their own loans and is used to working with investors.  I'm not concerned with the lowest rates, but rather a bank to build a relationship with that makes the lending process easier.  Also, I am out of state, so credit unions are not an option. I appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

@Chris Lopez  Thanks for the advice.  I will keep reaching out to brokerages and let them know my property management.  I was wondering if there was anyone else in my situation that had found a good solution.  Thanks!

@Matt M. I agree that it would have probably been fine to manage the property, but didn't think it would be a big deal to get my license.  I didn't realize it would be so difficult to find someone to hang my license with! But I will look into broker's guild.  Thanks!

Hello BP!  I manage my own investment properties here in Denver and want to take over management of a 4 unit building my parents recently purchased.  My attorney told me I needed my brokers license in order to manage it, so I took the course and passed the test.  I am ready to apply for my license and am running into some difficulty finding somewhere to hang my license. Any advice??

This house would be great for someone looking to house hack in Lakewood, CO near Belmar, parks, and highways. With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and two separate living spaces, you could easily rent by the room. It also has a separate entrance for the basement which leads to great opportunities for airbnb. It is clean and move in ready with new paint and refinished hardwood floors. It is listed on the MLS but thought Bigger pockets members would also love the opportunity to look at this house with so much potential for a house hack!

Check out the listing:

Thanks for all the thoughts and insight. It is very helpful and much appreciated! The owner is currently occupying the property and will be moving out of state when the sale closes. In addition, the inspection was good with a few little things that we will do. But the property was just completely updated so it is ready to go.

@Bill S. would you sign a lease with them?  Is that legal if I don’t own the property?
