Hi there,

Sort of a newbie again, but not. From New Mexico.
Several years ago, worked with my (then) brother-in-law flipping houses. Then that went away. Finally decided at 43 that I'm an adult and don't need anyone else's help doing this. Started my investment company last year, and working on my first SOLO flip currently. Have really hit some bumps (like the city flooding my flip by turning the water on, instead of just unlocking the meter, and then asbestos issues due to the removal of damaged drywall and ceiling), and let it slow me down through the holidays. But then I decided, no one's going to help you, but you, Wendy. I keep trying to make my local REI meetings, which help keep me focused, and give me some good ideas. But working with contractors has been the hardest thing. It's amazing the amount of people who will take the time to meet with you and walk through the entire project ideas, but then they never follow up with quotes. I'd like to do more flips, but my long-term goal is multifamily investing, either xxx-plexes or build some small multi-townhome rentals.
