Thank you gentlemen for your replies. Rohme Williams I would like to talk with you more about the current market you live in to gain more insight on the area. Orcutt and Santa Maria seem like viable markets for investing? Stephen Brown can you share any information on your market and maybe specifics on rents and home prices in the toledo area?

Hey BP! My REI journey began when a good friend of mine turned me on to the Biggerpockets podcast in January. Since then, I caught the REI bug, listening to the BP podcast on my work commute, buying and reading real estate investing books and telling everyone I know that I am getting into Real estate investing. Currently, I live in Santa Barbara where the average home price is $1 million +, which means I need to look and invest in a different city and or state. I am writing this post with the intention of starting a conversation and making connections to continue my journey of purchasing my first property.
