@Jason Mahon

I love the idea of buy and hold as well. However I'd like to generate more wealth a bit quicker through flips. Fortunately, I am in the construction industry and I believe I can save a ton on rehab while turning it quickly. And yes-I am like you. I am searching for my first deal and have placed many bids so far but none have panned out. Since high school/college I worked with a flipper and that's where I fell in love with this business and learned a few things. I now work for a higher end remodeling company but the plan is to transition into this REI full time.

What are your motivations for becoming a REI?

@RICHARD FOX

Yes sir. I’ve seen multiple listings in that price range.

Hello Again!

I'm hoping to find individuals who come across properties frequently that wouldn't mind thinking of me when they do! I search MLS quite often but I'm looking to network and source off market deals. My criteria is mostly west side of Cleveland and Parma but I am willing to venture other areas.

Looking to purchase a SFH around 40-60k. I'm open to multi families even if it is above my price range. In return, I wouldn't mind lending a hand in rehab estimates, inspections, or any construction insight you may be searching for.

 I also have a vast list of quality tradesmen - as I work full time in the remodeling industry and acquired many contacts.

Thanks in advance!

@Tom Ott Hey!

I'd have to agree and disagree about Lakewood. SFH are definitely over priced, but multi family units can still be had but are for sure becoming far and few. I haven't paid much attention to the east side as of today. A few pals have recommended Cleveland Heights as well. I like the idea of University Circle, I've seen some pretty good Comps in that area!

@James Wise

Good point. The Ohio city area is definitely on an upswing. I’ll have to start browsing those areas more so. Thanks for the tip and for the link!

Hey @Jason Mahon!

Yeah I’m mainly interested in Fix and Flips at the moment but will venture other strategies as I hopefully progress. I have been looking mostly on the west side and Parma as well. What areas of investing are you most interested in?

Hey all!

Curious to hear others opinions on which areas around Cleveland they feel are on the rise. I know a lot of people feel it is Lakewood, but I noticed it seems to be a little saturated. I think Old Brooklyn is one to keep on the radar.

Just looking to chat!

I have been getting my feet wet with investing in Cleveland as well! Currently I work in the renovation Industry and have for 7+ years but I am eager to transition into REI! I have capital, expertise in remodeling and good ole sweat equity to offer!

I analyze 10-20 deals a week(even if they aren’t for me) and have recently placed a few bids. Would love to meet as well.

Thanks in advance!

@Donald Dye

Think of it this way- If you lay the floor now, a lot of construction work/traffic is yet to come. And it could cause head aches, not to mention keeping it protected an clean. That flooring is easy to lay and should be reasonably priced with whomever you ask!

Good Luck
