What is the real cost to get your license and then the year over year cost to keep it? Sounds like if you selling 1 property per year you would make up the cost hands down. All while having the conveniences and "tools" some of you have mentioned.
Even in an amaing situation where you pay very little commisions to sell like @James Bynum mentioned he has, I would think 0.5% on a decent size priority would more than cover expenses.
Am I evaluating this correctly?
Thanks, Zane

@Mitch Stanley I've been considering my license and would look to get it in Scottsdale. What school did you go to and what schedule of classes and timeframe did do you choose to do it in? I've heard you can do it all and get your license in 10 days or stretch it out over months with night classes. What do you think are the pros and cons of each way?
Thank in advance, Zane

I think the biggest take away for me from REI is learning how the rich (in time as much as money) get richer and the not so rich keep trading hours of their life for dollars. You quickly realize how the currency we all really want is more time (but smart/prudent use of money buys that time). This is where I started to truly understand "passive income" and making money work of you.
Also like @Joshua D. mentions, you generally start to develop a belief system in yourself that whatever the goal or task you set you mind to, you can accomplish. If you have just a little, tiny bit of intelligence and the all more important work ethic, most goals aren't nearly as hard as they seem.
Lastly, if you're financially successful in REI (or whatever), you start to taste how your success gives you the ability to help others, and that's what its really about!

@Marcus Santa Cruz Welcome to BP! You've come to the right place to learn REI. If you haven't already check out the podcast, really good stuff and a fun listen if you driving.
What type of property did you go with for your fist purchase? How are the numbers looking so far?
All the best, Zane
