Needless to say, this took the wind out of my sails and I crawled off to the sidelines to soothe my wounds and ego. 

Bigger pockets is almost like....a club of some sorts and you guys are my friends who are taking the time out to listen to my problems and give advice and sooth my anxieties even though I have never met any of you

I hear the sound of the Atlantic surf on the Portuguese beaches can soothe even the blackest, most maggot-eaten ruin of a soul. 

The baby is probably sick /cold/hungry/lonely/etc and many first time parents dont know how to soothe a crying infant.

We need to be careful that we aren't simply trying to soothe our conscience by calling deals a win-win.

I find myself to be a good "talk off the ledge" person and really want to call or contact her to try and soothe her but I just don't know if thats a great idea or if I should just let BARKING dogs lie. haha..  

His music can be soothing at times. usually a catchy melody to think about your life to.
