We want to be able to spend about 2 weeks there a year and rent it out the remaining 50 weeks of the year so we need the property to cash flow as an investment property.Please let me know if you have any properties in mind or can provide any guidance on what we are looking for including a property management firm as we will be managing the property remotely from Ohio.Thanks a lot.

Your principals are blinding you to a opportunity to build a valuable relationship that not everyone gets and one that most would sell their principals for in a heart beat.You won't go far unless you realise that business "principals" and personal "principals" are entirely different animals.

But since finding good deals around San Diego does not seem realistic (if I’m incorrect here, please let me know), I’m also interested in learning about long-distance investing, particularly in tenant ready or turnkey properties in areas with better deals.I’ve already gained some valuable information from Bigger Pockets and am excited to keep learning.
