I want more than one pillow per person and the ability to sit up in bed and read (no shelves or weird headboards). 

We did replace the upper cabinets with open shelves which help cut costs but look awesome. 

Someone else might have enough WFC that they collect more than enough in just dividends to cover their expenses, and they would laugh at your headache-laden RE investments, which they could never scale big enough fast enough to cover their expenses, whereas the click of a button get's them plenty of dividend income to live off very comfortably while compounding the rest. 

Lesson:  Good drywall costs money, start at $50 per sheet for the best and go from there according to your needs.Asking if they needed more storage shelves, of course they said yes! 

Very deep dark gray and charcoal walls are popular as an accent wall though too- since organic materials such as warm wood shelving and indoor plants create a really nice contrast to that dark background.

There could be a bed of about 30" wide with shelving around it for their stuff. 

Even if the door is sliding its a problem because you need to walk through so you can't use shelving there. 

Height adjustable, slideout shelves could be used for storage.You want natural light obviously.

Examples:-In a house with a furdown in the kitchen, remove the furdown and the upper cabinets, add in floating shelves.

Bathroom updated granite countertops and tiled shower with built-in tile shelving.
