Sad actually, I wouldn't leave a gold fish there for more than 24 hours let alone a parent or loved one.

It got more hectic.The properties were listed alphabetically by owner, so sadly for me, the one I really really really wanted was second on the list.

The sad reality is that real estate just doesn't pay you well for 5-10-15 years unless the place is paid off or you have a well executed high effort strategy like rent by the room, short term rentals, etc.
