There was a movie called "Animal House" - crazy frathouse  behavior - that is one explanation.

The house has a lot of character and I even leased it to a movie company for 2 months for them to film in!

If you can't afford to live in a particular city anymore, you complain, you get more jobs - or you move somewhere you can afford.And if you have to spend half of your income on housing - and/or choose to do so in an expensive area, you just cut back on other things.It's not the end of the world to "have to" watch movies on Amazon Prime or Netflix instead of going out, or cooking your own meals at home.I live on practically nothing and I do just fine. 

To celebrate my husband and I went to see a movie that gives me nightmares to this day...PACIFIC HEIGHTS.Fast forward to a few years ago (we are talking a 25 year span here) and I have another trying to pull this same stuff...but Im on to the game now.
