The builder will have specific items only that they are looking at covered in the one year.

I have to do a review of the plans after I get them, I just don't want to spend $3,000 only to get a sub-par plan that I have to do a large amount of modifications to (other than site specific items), in order for it to actually be something that can be built.

You can get a pretty good idea of pricing for specific items.

We looked in a couple of their stores to see if any specific items were on sale and found a 7ml vinyl plank style we like at just $1.49 per sqft.

One thing you can do is talk to mobile home contractors to get opinions on what specific items would cost depending on the condition of the homes you're looking at. 

However, actually suing someone in Mexico takes minimum 3 years and then you only get the award for the specific item (no lost income, lost interest, etc).
