When Covid is on the mend and the market opens back up, it's going to be at the expense of the drive-to markets.

Duplex is high for 5k-6k for roof.I had quad's and 4k a roof.You have to wait if you can until the slow time of the year when roofers are HUNGRY and will do it for a cheap price.

Should have been at least $3k less as I have since found a cheaper roofer, HVAC and flooring installers but this was #2 so you learn.

Wondered if anyone had a recommendation for a good and affordable roofer.

Eagle view is an app that insurance companies and roofer's use to get the square footage of a roof. 20 bucks will give you a basic measurement. 50 bucks gives you a detailed measurement.

What I have found that has worked best for me is to ask the realtor for a referral of a good handyman, contractor, roofer etc. once you find one good worker that is vetted and verified by someone who is in the industry you can work through them for more referrals (plumbers, electrician drywall etc).You will need to make a few trips down to check on the progress and meet the workers but that is part of the fun in the journey. 

Lest you begin to think I am lowballing, I have paid what each contractor and roofer has asked for in cash, without hesitation.
