However, my investments line up pretty close with the “model portfolios” these two advisors publish, with the exception that if the stock isn’t at least 20% below NAV I won’t invest; I prefer REITs that easily cover their dividends with their earnings from rents and pay 6% or more, are internally managed where the top corporate players own a significant amount of stock, and where their property holdings can be easily valued (not so easy with many “speciality” REITs.

Something Goolge takes seriously.Needs to be fast.And it needs to be authoritative.If you look at it that way, then no it doesnt matter who it is as long as it is used correctly.Looking at it from an other perspective, choosing investor Carrot for example, you can rest assured, they are fast, reputable, and mobile optimized.Getting a wix site.. or a wordpress site.... you just are not a very serious player.

This thread is a bit old but the DIY/automated online options have evolved since, with some new players (including SegWize) entering the market...as well as some tech-enabled but still fully-engineered options like Segtax.I think the expansion of DIY options and the benefits of cost seg is great for investors of smaller properties, but I would highly suggest speaking with a tax advisor/CPA first to put together a plan and ensure you can actually use the additional depreciation first!
