The first thing I learned is that wholesalers are amazing marketers and even better sales men/woman.

Someone who taught them how to be great and without them, they could not be the great men and women they became. 

Feel free correct me if I'm interpreting @Michael Quarles ' comments inaccurately, but it sounds like he's promoting a neurolinguistic programing (NLP) based approach--the same strategy used by pick-up artists and con men.  

I grew up in this industry saw it in its prime in the 60's.. land sales men in those days made BIG bucks..

Most of my angry calls are older men. lol

I got out of Detroit in 06 after making 200 plus HML and counted my self as one of the luckiest men on earth.

I'm not even foolish enough to think that the "American Dream" is currently fueled by much more than easy credit and the next looming economic disaster to hit this great country.I *am* smart enough to know that there are far better ways to put money in my pocket than to leave home for weeks/months at a time on a small boat with a bunch of smelly men and hope that we hit it big.
