The host can ramble a bit but there is a LOT of pure gold from decades of experience to be gleaned here. 

While I had some DIY experience gleaned from a few rental properties I own, I truly had no idea what I was doing with this house. 

I have been a landlord for years, have an architecture degree, and geek out to real estate as much as I can, so I didnt glean a ton of new info from the class but it was required anyway.

This one connection gained me a ton of knowledge that I gleaned from him, and continue to learn, and also kicked off several business ventures with him as well.

From what I've gleaned, California's main metro areas such as SF, LA, and SD have appreciated well, but I'm not sure how they cash flow at this point given the high selling prices.  

What information did you glean from the owner?

I was thrilled to find this site, and have gleaned so much from the podcast.

If you intend to rent it out, there could be some information to be gleaned by looking at some SFH in your search for comps, but I'd find as many multis to use as reasonable comps as possible. 

so I'm looking to glean a lot of insights from those sources.
