One thing to note, mailing addresses will always show the name of a city, like Seattle or Tacoma, but the property is actually outside of city limits, which puts it in the unincorporated King or Pierce County jurisdictions. 

@Callie Mejia there are definitely more affordable options when you look south of Seattle, into Pierce County. 

Being that we are in Pierce County in Washington State, that saves us 10.1%

I focus in Pierce county and agree, there is tremendous opportunity still in Hilltop.

It was deemed a malicious act by the judge and she decided against me personally, piercing the corporate veil.

the reason any and all parties that could be named in a lawsuit are named from the beginning is because in the discovery process of litigation, it may be uncovered that you (personally) are liable (through piercing your corporate veil or other deliberate acts) and that suing attorney can have additional recourses (EG your personal assets) to go after. 

Funding repairs out of your own pocket or another entity, making mortgage payments from your personal account, taking rent checks into a different account, etc, can allow the corporate veil to be pierced.

She seemed puzzled and, after a quick disclaimer, said that it seemed like an odd and unnecessarily complicated thing to do, because "The corporate veil in Michigan is already difficult to pierce.".
