Yes, Texas is what they call a right to work state, so any person with a truck and tools can be a contractor.

I am wondering if anyone knows how capital gains work state by state.

Here in Florida we are a Right to Work State with lots of Seniors and it is very hard to make $20 an hour if you do not have a Profession or Business.

Right to work states bring in jobs.. jobs create buyers for real estate.add that into price points that are quite attractive and there you go.. and I suspect you have a lot of retiree's as well.
