Some licensing is probably somewhat inconsequential; if an unlicensed barber cuts your hair, you probably just end up with a bad haircut.

The walls looked like they had grown facial hair, it was not an improvement.

Also being a recent NoVA transplant, DC is a crazy market so maybe not the best baseline :)

It may seem the Amazon jobs are solid but with that there are so many other jobs such as start ups and ancillary businesses like hair saloons to restaurants that would be hugely affected if the cycle starts to turn a bit and people start cutting back on hitting their prime buttons for easy convenience and starts buying in bulk and cheaper brands of daily goods.  

There can also be something caught in the trap, like hair, that can then catch all of that too and stink.

Chris Rock was interviewed at a convention on Hair care products and he was talking to one lady who said she spent 800 a month on her hair.. he had no clue and was floored..
