Thanks for the insight @Charles WorthIn the nineties, my friend and I would spend weekends bicycling through fringe neighborhoods of Brooklyn and write down addresses of boarded up buildings and call every sign that we saw.

I look to invest where there is infrastructure to support new job growth/opportunities (possibly private tech corps will grow in Indy) Next Big Challenge for Small Downtowns (7/2017) I don't see a lot of good transportation solutions (muni/light rail) & the roads are horrible, but I was happy to see bicycles and shared bikes (Pacers)/e-scooters(BIRD) in  downtown & Lyft/Uber and electric cars to get around but I am hoping Indy will attract more private tech businesses.I am wondering your thoughts about Indy's new criminal justice center and the growing trend of prisons system as a lucrative business; Is this considered a "path to progress" for local property investors or is the new CJC not welcome?

I lived in Carrying Place (not far from the canal) back in the 1970s - had a paper route which racked-up 20K on my bicycle each day.A job in that area which moves you around ...

Tenants for a 24 unit apartment complex I manage have been complaining about scratches and dents on their cars caused by kids weaving between cars with bicycles, scooters, etc., and caused by doors being opened into their car.

We love Iowa, and I am thinking about trying to fit in RAGBRAI this year as I also love riding my bicycle (a little bit difficult here in the desert, but not impossible).We are thoroughly enjoying our international lifestyle, but we are without the major benefits that come with being a public school teacher in the United States.
