If you want to branch out, soft tones like accessible beige can still work well, especially with natural hardwoods, as long as it keeps the space feeling bright and clean. On design, I try not to get too deep in the weeds - I’ll pick a handful of go-to finishes and fixtures that work across multiple projects.
Steve K. Putting $1M into Crypto
19 November 2025 | 247 replies
There's one reputationally aggressive fund, if not the most aggressive, that's tried to up the ante in QC to create this as they believe it's a threat to USD-- I know you don't-- that even admits it's a far larger reach than the solution for the blockchain fixing itself via latency, soft forks, etc.You do realize if QC becomes scalable and defeats any fork attempt or latency attempt to a blockchain, then all digital security is at risk.
Bailey Rankin Furniture frustration, deep pockets, & budget strategy. Is contract grade worth it?

8 October 2025 | 9 replies
They are low doc loans, some only require a soft pull, a full appraisal will always be needed, but they can close in 20-30 days.
Miranda Neyens Is there a market for MTR in NC?
8 October 2025 | 6 replies
Medium-term rentals (MTR) can fill niches like temporary work assignments or transitions, but given the overall market softness and inventory growth in Greensboro, success with MTR requires careful targeting and competitive pricing.
Carol Burns Who do you guys use for tenant screening?
7 October 2025 | 4 replies
The best approach is to work with a screening provider that uses FCRA-certified human review in addition to database searches.A thorough report should include:Full credit report (from a major bureau, soft-pull if possible)Nationwide criminal and sex offender search (Multiple data providers not single)Eviction history Judgments and liens (No longer appear on credit reports)Optional tools such as income, employment, and ID verification to detect fraudWhen comparing services, ask how they verify mismatched data and whether they confirm records manually.
