A full frame camera like the Canon EOS 5DS or the Nikon D5 will mimic the old 35mm size and a 16mm lens will look just as wide (extremely wide IMHO) on any camera with a full frame sensor or a 35mm film SLR.

As for viewing properties, you could post an ad on Craigslist for someone to view/film the property and pay them $10-$50 bucks.

In addition there were some minor damages (damaged entry door, broken vanity mirror, broken fireplace equipment, curtain hardware nailed and screwed into stained wood trim and window frames, sticky weather film to be removed from windows).
