Our future goal is to have cash flow income but we heard and read that at the beginning we might need a quick income to supplement our savings first.

In any case, I know of one guy who retired earl, is traveling around the world with his wife and kid (not glamorously but on a pretty low budget), and is basically using OOS rental income to supplement this lifestyle.

Those same colleagues worked past 65, many taking on menial jobs to supplement retirement.Then there was the bat house.

I see this as a supplemental niche strategy.

Not quite a new member as I've been lurking these forums for years, finally deciding to get serious and figured doing the "New Member Introduction" post would be a good step.Briefly about me:  I'm currently working as a merchant mariner (3rd Mate) and I travel for work about half the year, looking to get into real estate investing to supplement my income and begin building a portfolio during the half of the year when I am home.  

We have 11 units in #DFW and hoping to start to do Property Management for other investors in the area to help supplement our cashflow and scale our business. 

I wouldn't suggest any supplemental training/study material. 

I suspect some of those landlords who aren't already listing with services like Homesuite, will move there as a way to supplement lost business.
