My issue was, I prefer to take the calls that come in especially being the number it was going to was not reacting to the leads as fast as I could.

I always feel sorry for them paying so much but that's all part of the supply and demand curve.In my native New Zealand I have often told a seller to not sell as the price was too low, usually caused by an inexperienced or unscrupulous real estate agent.  

Man it was crazy, but I don't think they realized it but maybe they did but didnt react to it.

@ John Theradford I think you're over reacting a tad bit.

I like SMS because of the possibility of building a chatbot to interpret the incoming SMS intention and react accordingly to automate the follow up and response process.
