For a standard set of 4 appliances stainless steel I pay about $2k for what I put in sub $500k properties.

Steel is quite high so you should try to get some good prices, companies run specials from time to time, good luck!

When I am doing an extensive rehab, I have my contractors board up all of the first floor windows, bar the back door (unless they are using that for entry) and if I'm in a concerning area, spend the $200-$300 on a steel security door.

After repairs here you're often left with a basement wall held up with steel beams that most buyers shy away from.
