Quaility of living is high, cost is low and we have a very diverse economy that is humming nicely at an unempyment rate that is so low that businesses are recruiting across the state border. 

Owning property all over the US sounds exciting and there are no borders for me.

Being in a border town definitely requires cultural knowledge especially in business situations.
