Thank goodness too, cause I went completely off my mental script I had practiced.

Since there is not a monolithic cause, there cannot truly be a form of investing that perfectly hedges against each.That said, what I like about self-storage and B&C class multifamily is that they can perform in a stable market cycle but they also can profit on a down cycle because of what happens to consumer mentality in a pinch. 

I don't assume its all or even most, but there are plenty with hateful mentalities. 

It was definitely a great experience but I also had investments in mind and brokering deals wasn't very mentally stimulating to me.

And the way we "feel" about our decisions can have positive or negative affects mentally, physically and financially. 

Property manager's have the leverage to create a 'take it or leave it' mentality; power of free market. 

I think most people are caught up in the mentality of I don't want to pay the govnment, when they are really missing out on the bigger picture.  

I can understand the "skin in the game" mentality, but I am building a business not buying a personal residence or just one rental property.

This mentality has lead me to look for partnerships to bring in as credit partners splitting my potential profits in order to help me take this step.I would really like to get 20% down conventional or  hard money loan.

They wil leave when they leave but mentally I want someone who is planning upfront to stay.
