Ultimately as Owner of Record, you will likely be responsible for any fines or penalties since your PM apparently cannot handle the situation (or adequately screen prospective tenants).

I followed up on a few of the earlier ones and they made me kind of uncomfortable, as they would not subject themselves to any sort of screening processes, wanted to do business outside the platforms, etc.However, I am continuing to get more of these- and i am thinking that maybe just because these people are not native speakers (chinese i believe they mostly are) that maybe I am just misunderstanding them and/or miscomunicating andd it is possible they are legit?

Hi Sean – I do not believe there is any BBL available at the moment to operate a STR.The bill passed by DC Council was flat until DC Zoning could amend the zoning rules to define STRs and permit STR use in residential zones.

I don't have any personal recommendations, but I have some generic advice to help you screen whomever you find.Start by going to www.narpm.org to search their directory of managers.
