Many investors actually start out investing with a duplex or fourplex, live in one of the units and rent out the rest.

Obviously I'm not familiar with your particular neighborhood, nor do I know if enclosed garages are common there or not, but in most areas an enclosed garage will actually increase the value of the subject property (but have little to no direct effect on the rest of the neighborhood).Unless a neighbor's new garage would somehow impact your property (i.e. block an existing desirable view, encroach upon your property in some way, etc), I don't see a need to be overly concerned with it.

If this sustains through the rest of the year, it would be the highest percentage of cash transactions in residential properties in the past 10 years.

If the addition support structure is resting on concrete that is only a few inches thick, such as a simple 4" thick patio, sagging and cracking will occur.

Took out some old plumbing once, got it on my hands, wiped it off, took the rest of the day off, felt like death warmed up.The key to getting bugs out of the property is ensuring that there are no holes in the house, eg plumbing fixtures, under the toilet, doors have proper sweeps that fills the gaps, electrical covers that cover the drywall, behind dishwasher, and so forth.
